Robot Monster
Filmed in 1953 in astonishing 2-D! This is an old-school black & white science fiction monster movie. Robot Monster boasts a 62-minute run time. If you subtract the opening credits, end credits, stock dinosaur fight footage and gratuitous walking scenes, the film runs roughly 30-minutes. Fans of Ed Wood's "Plan 9 from Outer Space" will enjoy this film. The film is set in famous Bronson Canyon. A robot monster (Ro-Man) comes to Earth. Ro-Man destroys virtually everything on Earth. Only a handful of people remains. Ro-Man is in the process of tracking down the final humans. We follow the family as they struggle to survive. All hail the Ro-Man Empire!

Mark Mattis Review: It is hard to hate this movie. This is an enjoyable BAD movie. It is so bad it is good. I picked up a copy of this movie for $5. I am a bad movie buff. Do not spend more than $5 to see this movie. The star of the movie, Ro-Man is some poor guy in a gorilla costume with an old diving helmet. He has destroyed virutally everyone on Earth. So, where does he hold his headquarters? The White House? The Pentagon? CIA? FBI? No, Ro-Man bases his operations out of a deserted cave. This movie could be made today for less than $1,000. I suspect, the film could be remade for less than $500. This really is NO FRILLS filmmaking at its finest.
